Mary Lynn Linzmeyer, Director Emeritus

In 1981 our family, Peter, myself, our son Peter, and daughters Colette and Bridget moved to Waterford, VA. Peter began practicing law at his firm’s DC office. 1984 saw us moving to our Leesburg home, where we have remained. 1983 saw my ability to give a morning a week outside my home. My decision was to give assistance to women and their little ones.

My teaching career in Wisconsin spanned seven years. In 1990 I became All School Academic Teacher at Grafton School in Berryville, VA. In 2001, I was tapped for Director of the Learning Center at the former Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, VA, serving until 2009.

As a volunteer and director of our pregnancy center, I have seen our office grow and thrive in four locations over a span of 40 years. It has become part of the fabric of my life. My time and efforts would not have been possible without the caring and understanding of my husband and children. I never cease to be amazed by our seasoned as well as new volunteers who give their ALL assisting women caringly and knowingly while remaining calm and capable.

I see the population growth in our area as a gift to our mission. People have been most generous and kind. Our ability to share so willingly comes from many churches, groups and individual donors in Loudoun County as well as friends far and wide.

Denise Dicks, Co-Chair

Denise is a wife and mother of two grown children. She and her husband John have lived in Leesburg, VA for over ten years. They are active members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Denise enjoys singing with the parish choir and being a part-time Lector. John is an officer in the Knights of Columbus.

Denise has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications, graduating from the University of Texas in 1987. She held various jobs in the communications field … first at a small television station south of Houston, Texas and then for a NASA contactor at the Johnson Space Center. After her second child was born, she switched to a full-time career in Motherhood, taking on various volunteer roles with her children’s schools, sporting clubs and her church.

Once her children left the nest, Denise began volunteering at our pregnancy center in 2015. In October of 2021 she joined the Board of Directors. Her passion for protecting the lives of unborn babies is what brought her to volunteer here. Her wish is to help the women in our society who feel their only option is abortion realize they are worth more than that. These women need our empathy, love and support… and Denise feels blessed to be a part of an organization that strives to provide all that to these moms.
